GDPR
How Alvis complies with GDPR
We, at Alvis, put a lot of effort into getting ready for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in order to fulfill its requirements and uphold transparency regarding customer messaging and data usage.
Here is a summary of GDPR and how we prepared for it:
What is GDPR?
A comprehensive data protection regulation known as the GDPR went into effect on May 25, 2018. To strengthen the protection of "personal data" and individual rights, it replaced previous EU legislation. The processing and oversight of EU data are governed by a single set of laws.
Does it affect you?
Whether or not you are based in the EU, the GDPR will still apply to you if you possess or process the data of any person who resides in the EU.
Alvis's preparation for the GDPR
To ensure that we complied with GDPR, our teams worked diligently.
Request Access and/or Deletion of Your Data
We retain data about you for as long as you have an open account with us. You can request information about your data we hold about you, and you can also request that we erase some or all of your data from our systems by emailing us at hi@getalvis.com .
Our Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) have been updated accordingly
Strong commitments to data protection are a crucial component of GDPR's requirements. Our updated data processing agreement outlines the terms for Alvis and our customers to comply with GDPR requirements while also sharing our privacy commitments. Customers can request to sign this if they wish.
